Possibly a problem with the charging system and it is running off the battery. Not enough juice and it will run poorly.

When you jumped it did it crank at all and no start? Or no crank at all?

More specifics please.
(Just PLEASE no huge long lasting post for my brain to decipher)

~~power as in horsepower

~~just put a new battery in less than an hour ago (still having problem) (12.78v)

~~when i jumped it nothing happened (no crank/no interior lights)

~~charging system as in-altinater??

~~i reached down to the (positive) wire going to the starter and yanked on it and it was loose (waiting till engine cools until i tighten it)

~~P.S... i tried to break it down cause i tend to drag on my sentences...sry

same problem i had, stripped terminal wire bolt. i ghetto rigged mine and now it works (i also found that if you turn the cable straight down it causes a good contact with the battery)

~~ok i just went to tighten up the (positive)wire running to the starter......the bolt/ and agood size chunk around it broke off.....could that be a possible reason why im losing power ((horsepower))

maybe you have multiple problems... as for the battery it could be the alternator or a bad starter... as for the horsepower check the plugs and plug wires... my grandmas car had the plug wires shorting out and when it got dark she tried to start it and you could see sparks flying all over lol
