Ok I bought a camaro and it has its problems. First I can't hook up the speedometer. This may sound like a dumb question but is the speedometer on a 92 RS electronic? It has an aftermarket borg warner t5 in it which has a mechanical sender. Also I need to hook up the back up lights. They don't come on when I put it in reverse. PLEASE HELP!

 

I'm quite sure yours is mechanical drive speedo. Check for a broken inner cable or if it unhooked on the dash side.

For the rev lights check your rev. s/w located about midway of your trans on the drivers side. Disconnect the electrical connectorand jump the two terminals together on the connector with the key in the on position to see if your back lamps come on. Good luck!

 

Thanks, Actually I found out that the 90-92 speedometers are in face electronic. Which brings me to my next question: Can I change the sender on my transmission to be electronic?
