Hi.
Can anyone tell what the orangelight where it is written SECURITY stays for?
Sometimes by cranking the engine thislight stays on,sometimes it is off.
Ithinkit may not be that tragic because I have already done a lot of miles with it on or???
Can it be because the engine is started with a starter button? In fact I push the key in the lock, than I turn a little till SERVICE LIGHT and this SECURITY LIGHT goes on.Finally I start the the starter with that button and normally the 2 lights vanish except sometimes the security light.
Please do notrespond with "look in your ownermanual",I boughtthe car without manual present.

Your car was fornicated with, as for one it didn't come with a starter button from the factory, So it is going to be pretty hard to help you without knowing what exactly was done to the car. The security lite means that the factory anti theft (VATS) system is in alarm. This would normally prevent the car from starting, but apparently it was circumvented.
