ok i have a 90 camaro 3.1 v6 auto, now the car was running perfect when i picked it up and bout 130 something miles or so i started it up went for a drive and it wasnt shifting at WOT but was shifting perfect at part throttle. so i adjusted the tv cable by pressing in that button and pushing the "****" all the way back let go of the botton and pulled the throttle to WOT and that just messed up the part throttle shifting bad, and still wont shift at WOT.

the only other thing i can think of is some one told me the governor but i dont have what i need to drop the trans and i also dont know how to "inspect" it. i even tried to search for one in google and nothing came up i also have a camaro parts book and its not in there.

i just need to know if theres anything else that could cause it not to shift at WOT

I'd double check your TV cable adjustment just to make sure. When I had a 91 and adjusted the cable, it didn't want to ratchet out more than a click or two. So I pulled forward on the TV cable connector at the throttle arm, while at the same time opening the throttle all the way. That got the cable to ratchet out more, and was fully extended at WOT where it wanted to be.

 

i been playing with it a lot with in the last couple days, and when i left the gym it would die out at less than half throttle so i readjusted it just buy pushing it back and hit the throttle and it got better then the first time i did it because this time i heard one kinda loud click and it worked a little better it would die out at WOT like it used to. but lets say i pull it forwards a little bit like ?you did? do you think that would work? and if i do all i can with the tv cable would that mean its deff the governor?
