i have an 85 with a 2.8 multi port and i have no power what so ever in my car the only good thing is that it is standard so at least im ok off the line but after 3rd gear i just have nopower like i can put the pedal to the floor and it wont do anything is there anything i can do to get more power or is it a lost cause

 

I'm in the same boat as you are. Decent intown acceleration but no ***** on the highway with my 88. There isn't much we can do with a 2.8. I'm building a spare with a stage 2 computer friendly cam. I'll let you know in a month if it was worth itwhen I replace my oil burner.

 

easiest way to get power out of the 2.8 is to take it out and put a 350 in there lol
i know, budget may not allow that, but the 2.8 isnt a real mod friendly engine

 

yeah i was afraid of that lol
