ooo and putting a big block no u dont half to cut its just a tight fit the fbody camaros can almost fit anything ebay was selling a 1987 camaro 502 big block omg wow it was nice anyway the firewall wasnt cut but u do need beeter supports and shocks and mounts

on the 3.1, the heads are the limiting factor. a lot of guys have picked up 20-30hp off of just swapping to 3.4 heads. the 3.4 heads flow better, and don't hit a brick wall at 4500rpm.

and where did you get a 2.8 being rated at 165bhp??? last i checked the carbed 2.8 was 102bhp and the MPFI 2.8 was 125bhp.

He is talking about bolting 3.4 FWD heads onto a 3.4 RWD block. That is where the 165 HP comes from. I know a little more about the swap now. The 3.4 FWD heads greatly increase the compression of the 3.4 FWD block to well beyond what either motor had. Something like 13:1.
