Who's the dumb one? You are obviously confusing an American made component that's built with metric parts with a component that's foreign made. NOBODY made the suggestion that the trans was foreign made. Read the lines, not between them.

to get back on topic,,, so the 250 is even lighter duty than the 200? seems like the metric is used to identify the trany as a light duty trans more than anything.

Yes, back on topic. I'm done trying to reason with unreasonable.
Essentially, the 200 is a metric version (and I didn't say foreign) of the T350 that has been physically lightened, by using lighter weight alloys on the internal parts. But that made them weaker and prone to failure when stuck behind a V8.
The 250 is a revamped T350, with an adjuster band in place of the intermediate clutch pack. The 200 is the weaker of the two. T350 is the way to go between all three.
