Metric Tranny
Anyone know much about these, i was told that's what is in my car. i was also wanting to put a small stall in it also and was wondering what would fit on that.would turbo 350 and 400 torque converters be a different fit?
Well who told you it was a "METRIC TRANNY" was full of BS. If the car is 1982 Camaro & Auto, it is a THM200C 3sp. Only metric about it may be the fasteners. Most had 11.75 dia torqye converter.
The THM200 is a metric 3 speed tranny, and it would be stamped "Metric" on the pan. It's a light duty trans, so if you plan on doing some performance enhancements (as your stall t.c. question may suggest) you would be better off putting in a T350. Even in stock form, the 350 will take a lot more beating than the 200.

NOPE, no BS at all.

Additional Note: In this timeframe GN was in the process of going metric per Government standards, but it was never done completely. My 87 Camaro is a mix of Standard & Metric fasteners.

And using metric parts makes a component metric, that's quite a concept!
It had to be stamped metric, because it's in an American car.
If it was foreign made and in a foreign car, there would be no second guessing what it is.
Your reply is quite the concept, ff that is correct you should be stamped "AIRHEAD"....
You couldn't even answer my question.
I take no stock in someone who has continuously revealed himself a BONEHEAD, as Many of your previous responses to fellow members has proven.
