Hey, i gotta 87 z28 with a stock suspension, Im wondering what performance shocks and struts i should get for around 100-150 dollars? Are shocks and struts that cost 100-150 still good quality? And what brands are the best to pick from? And any other tips are great aswell.

you'd be lucky to get ONE for that price, but it all depends on what you are after

 

I spend 700 on my shock/spring package...... 150 wont go very far here

 

I dont need springs, just shocks and struts. Is KONI a good brand?

 

Koni is great, but those are one of the most expensive shocks on the market. For $150, go to autozone and get stock replacements, that's all you're going to be able to afford. KYB GR2's are actually a decent shock for the price.

 

eh i use bilstine for now and eibach 1.5 inch lowering springs but since you said no springs i guess that douent count

 

the springs were only like 100 bucks...... my shock/strut setup was 600. they arent cheap

 

Well i see if i can talk my parents into something around 4-500 dollars. But are springs really nessacary to replace?

 

no they arent, but neither are the shocks/struts. do the 3rd gens have a control arm setup? LCA relocation brackets are one of the best drag racing mods u can do

 

I've been told shocks and struts really improve your overall driving, and are definatly worth the money. And i dont know about the control arm. But im not making a dragster anyway.
