Rear Shock breaks free!
So I got my '84 Z28 on friday, it's tuesday and I have the day off work. So what do I do? I start troubleshooting.
First problem I knew of was my rear shoes were far, far overdue for a replacement, so I got some new shoes and a hardware kit and got to business. While I was down there I figured I'd see what the clunking coming from the rear passenger side was.
Little did I know what was in store for me. My rear shock had apparently broken free of it's mounting point up top, and it's been knocking around the underside of the trunk. The mount point up top has been shredded, so putting it back on won't fly...
Ideas? I'm thinking I'm going to have to take it to a shop and have them weld a new mount point in.
