I replaced my stock struts/shocks on a 95 3.4L with Monroe Sensatrac, I would NOT recommend them the car feels more bouncy & less stable on adverse road, and not as sporty as the stock ones when they were still good. The only other piece of this equation is if my springs should also be replaced, but a shop said they were fine. We all know how well you can trust many shops... :-(
I would go with the Bilsteins or similar as others have suggested here!

Why come on here if you are already sold on them? You could get a set of 4 KYB AGXs for the same price as the "sensa tracs". There are lots of people who have them on here as well as other sites. The KYB AGXs are adjustable too...

I know this baby is old, but I had the same thing happen to me. I've been on this forum for a while now, and everyone says WITHOUT A DOUBT go with KYB AGX. I called my shop and he said the struts and shocks need replacing, and said go monroe sensitrac for both. Then I asked have you heard of KYB AGX and he said yes he's put a few in but wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't quite what he was looking for or expected or something and went back to suggesting the sensitracs. Should I just insist on Bilstein or AGX? Also, I'm looking for a comfort ride with a little bit of performance, so if you guys say no because of performance that's no worry either.

The KYB AGXs allow you to adjust to your liking using a dial on the shock. That's why alot of people like them over the rest. I believe there are like 8 different settings.

Ohhh that would be sweet. Well EVERY store around here only sold Munroe sensatrac shocks. I asked everywhere if they could get KYB but the price tripled and in some cases quadrupled to get it from wherever they were to here. They got put on and to be honest they are very nice compared to my stock shocks. But I've never tried any other brand.
