some said it couldnt be done, that it was a waste of time
well for now id like to just get the y-pipe on it. headman said it was a direct fit, but it wasnt. so i need to cut into it and add a few inches. then i plan on just a glasspack and stock intermediate pipe and dump it over the axle. in a while, i would like to get a 3" y-pipe going into a hushpower (in the place of the cat), then have it y off over the axle to stock stlye duals, angle cut rolled edge 3" tips slightly angled at the ground. but theres a lot to do before then so im just reusing what i have for now
and going up the driveway i was just idling. the two times it spins the tires i was just touching the throttle. it spins on pavement with ease as well

ahh so you finnally made it home. fun ride? lol dont feel bad i had to cut my kooks y pipe in a couple places to get it to fit. youll get er figured out. should sound great with full exhaust.
yea, its way too loud with open headers. causes hot start issues too. we took it for a spin "around the block" so its got about 5 miles on it. somewhere along the way my trip odometer stopped working, but im not sure if it ever did. at least i know all my gauges do. but its fun to tap the gas and let off and listen to the echo. you can hear it in the video if you turn it up around 22 seconds as im leaving
still getting some bugs worked out. however, its a lot of fun to just give it the ever so slight touch of gas and it spins the tires through second. i think the combo of a crap load of torque (396 at 2k) and some old, hardened tires is to blame. either way, i love it. i cant wait til everything is dialed in and broken in!
i ordered a chip from pcmforless. it seems pretty good. just has some surging to it at hot idle and low throttle input, but its not something thats going to be annoying me a lot. definatly need a vacuum resevoir though
the idle has settled out substantially now. its still a bit funky to start up though, usually takes a few tries to get it to stay fired, but once it is its good. i also learned that even at 60 mph in the rain, if i push the gas hard enough to downshift to third, it will spin and step out. i thought i was going to kill my baby
