Default My 84 Restoration. New paint, LED tail lights, HIDs to come soon.

Hi,
I've been a member here for a long time, but don't think I ever posted.
Thought I would share some pics of my 84 Camaro that I've been restoring.

I've had this car since about 92, it was the first car I ever bought. I drove this car to work every day for about 5 years, putting about 100 miles a day on it. When the V6 gave out, I decided to go ahead and start restoring it. This has been a ongoing project for the past 5 years.

The car was originally a plan no thrills V6 model. The only option it had was the remote hatch. I used a 92Z28 as my donor and have now added everything from that car into mine (dash, GFX, power everything). I now also have the 5.7 too, what a difference.

I'll add pictures once I figure out how too.

Here is how the car looked before I started, basic 84 model.

Here is the start of adding the GFX, my car didn't have any to start so I had to fabricate some brackets for the skirts, and also change out the bumpers.

I also replaced all of the interior, new carpet, repainted all the plastics with SEM graphite color paint, and installed the 92Z28 dash.

Here is the old interior

and after with the new dash and carpet.

Now I finally get to start doing some of the cool stuff that I've been wanting to do.
I opened up the tail lights and installed LEDs into them. I have full tail/brake/turn and reverse.

I also modified the front turns too (need to get a pic of these)

I like the kick panel speakers. Cup holder is awesome too! How did you add LEDs to the taillights?

Thanks, glad you like it!

Hey, I'm trying to win Camaro of the Month on CamaroNews, if you guys like how my car turned out. Could you all go to this link, Facebook and like the image. I'm about 3 away from second place.

Since I started this thread, I also installed the HID projectors. These are a must for these cars, the difference is incredible!

The LEDs I made myself, I opened the housing up. And using a PCB from Radio Shack, I soldered all the LEDs into place. Then glued the boards into the housing and sealed them back up.
