Default 1986 z28

I have a 1986 z28 with the 5.0L 305 engine. It is carb'd and I think I am flooding the spark plugs and just making life difficult for me.

I have been wanting to upgrade the engine anyways to a 383. I am not mechanically smart by any means and would like to get some other opinions on what needs to be done. If i were to swap the engines, could i do the following:

1. go from carb to fuel injected (anything else need to be done?)
2. what all would need to be done from an auto to 5sp conversion?

well this will be a kinda generic answer but i can tell u what i kno.
swapping motors isnt too bad in these cuz its fairly easy acces. to go to tbi u will mainly need to think of what u will have controlling the fuel/air mix and such (cpu, sensors, etc.) the motor swap is easy, the electrical is where i fall short myself.
but with the trans swap to 5sp i really dont know much. swapping is usually easy, but you will need to fab some to make room for the stick. idk about mounts and such on the swap because i have never done it.
