I recently stripped out all interior (except) dash out of my 83 z28. Since then I have welded a 8 pt. cage and 2 summitt racing seats. How much weight do you think was dropped? This weekend i will be putting in new carpet and a 12 gallon fuel cell.

 

i doubt if you have lost anything with your mods. mine is stripped to the metal. in addition i removed both front and rear stablizers. power steering, alternator, wiring harness, and pulleys. all seats but drivers, dash, all air conditioning and heating components, all this was only 300 pounds. you are probably heavier than you was before. if your setting up for dragging the front and rear stablizers are around 50 pounds and are nothing but extra weight in a drag car. the dash and the firewall mounted ac and heat components are another 50. third gens are hard to remove substantial weight because of the struts. good luck. sick
