Default Front speakers

Howdy,

I have an 86 iroc and i replaced the front speaker in the dash, i dont like to quality of the sound, i think it is reflecting off of the windshield. I think i am going to move them down to the door panels. Has anyone had this happen?

Do you have power windows?
If so that makes putting them in the doors a little more difficult since the motor is directly behind the panel. So you would have to build out, and most likely still need to use a shallow mount type speaker so it's not out too far.

What might be easier is building some kickpods, it will also sound better because the sound will be more directed toward the center front.

Kick pods sound like a great idea. I may do that when I get this thing running dependably, now, if I could only locate the rear speakers! LOL
