any body know if the 1986 z28 comaro with the 87 350 engine is it a 4 bolt main or a 2 bolt main or how do u find out

 

more than likely 2-bolt main. Usually the 4-bolt was used for large trucks such as the suburban. pull the oil pan off and you can see

 

thats what i heard yet the 350 in it is not the original engine we dont know what it came out of the car is a 86 and the engine is a 87 yet when u take the oil pan off where or what do u look for to see if it is a 2 bolt or a 4 bolt

 

the main caps, there are three of them. It will either have2 bolts on them, or 4. and obviously if it has 2 bolts, its a 2 bold main, 4 bolts, its a 4 bolt main...

 

just get the codes off the block, its the absolute easiest way to tell, u might have to take a little while to find them but its alot easier than pulling a pan off. type the codes into google and youll get dozens of pages telling u about it.

 

The block codes are a great way you can also run the vin number that will tell you everything you need and more

 

ive never seen a 2 bolt main 350. 80 % chance its a 4
