would a 5 spd from a v6 2.8L 88 camaro fit on 90 rs camaro engine that is a 3.1L v6

They're both 60 degree V6's so yes it would bolt up just fine.

I think that both of those years have T-5s transmissions so I don't see why it should bolt up.

Yes, both transmision are a B-Ws T-5 that were used on v-6 Camaros from 1988 through 1998
