Default Would this ever work?

OK my mom drives an all wheel drive Eagle Talon with a turbo and a five speed. (my mom is not afraid to go fast.) any way as i was roasting a civic hatch on the way home fr5om school i tyhopught what about making my camaro all wheel drive? I mean all wheel drive cars get the best traction/launch on the strip and they handle the best.(my opinion ) so is it possible to make a camaro all wheel drive?

if you have the money, you can do whatever you would like to do. now anything short of putting a camaro body onto a truck frame and using 4wd is about the only way around.

I've seen an AWD Talon drivetrain transplanted into a Neon, so why not a Camaro?

Once you've gone that far it's not a Camaro anymore, all those little AWD cars are based on front drive transaxle cars with a drive line added to the rear.
A Camaro is a front engine car and not a transverse mounted engine so there's really no way to add a front drive to the car without doing away with everthing that makes it a Camaro a Camaro besides the body.

As for the OP's post about front drive launching better and handling better he's simply wrong.
Yes there are some fast front drive ricers out there but all real drag racers are rear drive, when was the last time you saw a front drive Prostock or Funnycar?
Same goes for roadracing,Indy cars and Formula 1 the fastest of the fast are all RWD.

It takes skill to drive a 1.5 ton rear wheel drive car with 300+ horsepower and torque to match. Any idiot can pilot a 1800 lb AWD or FWD car with 190 HP, 110 lbs of torque, traction control and power brakes. Im not bashing you man, but I get sick of seeing kids think they are fawking race car drivers because mom and dads subaru will out corner my Camaro.

American muscle is a feeling. It should always be one step away from scaring the shi+ out of you while making you grin from ear to ear at the same time.

Keep your car the way it was meant to be.
If you want a 4wd sports car plant a body on a 4x4 chassis.
No performance but you will have the look. I don't think it will handle real well but it will look the way you want.
