Winterizing
I've heard many things about winterizing like lift the car and put it on jackstands Under the suspension parts and many other things but what really do I have to do to winterize my Camaro? Tips/info would be helpfull.
DO NOT fire your car up everyday......you will NEVER reach operating temps under those conditions. You will just build up condensation in your oil and exhaust system. Trust me, I live in upstate NY, I go thru this every year with my bike and Camaro....
Give it a good wash and wax.
Fill the tank, put gas stabilizer in, drive it home.
Pull into garage (if your lucky enough to have one)
Fill tires about 5lbs over psi
Disconnect battery.
If you live in a rural area or are storing in a barn, put rags in the tail pipe and take as much of the air cleaner assy apart (no place for the vermin to make their beds.....) Make sure to leave a note on your steering wheel as to what steps you've taken.
Once spring comes, give her some starting fluid (if carbed).....it will take about 4 tries, but she will wake right up.

Snow? Where you at son? I dont know many people who get snow before we do here in Sorrycuse......we got about 1/2 inch last week but that doesnt even count cause it didnt stick. Our plow crews dont even show up until 3 or more inches.......
Ah ya it snowed 3+ inches here in Vernal UT! And it still around just not on the roads anymore so I'm going to enjoy my Camaro before I finally winterize it and probably pull the heads to get the valve guides and stuff redone....Or just buy those vortec heads that are said to be a straight bolt on. Maybe get a Holly TBI... well wait, has anyone had any luck with thouse? Are they better or just keep stock? Hmm Anyone know anything else to do?
