does anybody know where to purchase window switches for third gen camaros. i've tried the local dealerships and parts stores with no luck

Ebay or a Junkyard. For little switches like that a junkyard is your best bet. 15 minutes in a otherwise wrecked car can yield tone of little treasures like screws, lightbulbs and small interior trim parts.
