Default window spring

I replaced my window motor over the weekend but I wasnt cautious enough and the spring for the regulator came off. How the hell do I get it back on?

Thanks

LOL, they (my jewels) make pretty small targets. I guess I dont know where to even start putting it back on. since I didnt get a chance to see it although I know where it goes, just not which way it goes on and how many time you have to wind it.

It should not be unwound. It does need to go in so it helps the window to go up. That should give you an idea as to which way the tension needs to be. Slip the flat end in the slot and with vice grips turn the other end to hook it in place. It may help to have the reg extended in the window up position so it makes for less tension needed. I had to repair them before for broken springsOr ones that popped out
