Default WINDOW PILLER

This is a little hard to explain but Ill give it a shot. I was looking at a 82 Trans Am no engine it looks decent for $600 but I was wondering one thing. Where the front window pillers come down just below the hood do they normally look like they are dented in?

Both sides look similar it was repainted so it is hard to tell. The guy said the windshield was replaced it kind of made me wonder a little. I asked him if it had been wrecked and was told it was in his family for 12 years ect. ect... but now that I think about it he didnt really say yes or no.
