Just about anywhere you look for a motor with those #'s it will be that price....Save up and get one from jeg's, or see if a goodwrench dealer has them on sale and you can check here they have sales some times. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/gmgoodwrenchmotors.html

can build a better one fore less, u can pick up a good running 350 for anywhere between 200-600 from a junk yard, and just tear it down and rebuild it, u can get them cheaper but the problem with them not being running is u dont know what could be messed up inside, which isnt a big deal if you having it machined and rebuilt, but u take the risk of a cracked block. i picked mine up, perfectly runnign just missing a few bolt on peices(carbs, alternator, dipstick, dist) and a good 700r4 tranny for only $200. for me i was looking for something realy torqy so i got my block out of a 3500 series truck, put a little bit better cam in, and rebuilt a 72 quadrajet for it, and gave me exactly the feel i was looking for, cost maybe $500-600 total plus a crap load of dressup stuff i got for it, and new filters for both engine and tranny and fluids.
