wheels and tires

starting to look at new wheels and tires. what is the biggest tire i can fit in the rear with a 16in rim. i want to fit at least a 265/55/16 or something close, is that even possible. thanks for the help.

I have 245/50/16 on mine with no problems the reared was lowered 1.5" if that helps at all

i put 285/50/15 on the rear of my 84 . powdercoated the z28 rims looks good but if i got 2 in the back once and awhile it scrapes.
