Ok here it goes. I know this older lady who has a 1986 plain jane camaro with approx. 35,000 miles. this thing is in near perfect condition. I looked it up on kbb.com as a 1988 (because they didnt have a 1986) and it said it was worth 1700. Thats what i told her it was worth on the computer. She said it seemed kinda low. But keep in mind this was her daughters car and she died from cancera long time ago. So she is thinking its worth more because of the centimental value. I just wanted to know what u guys thought it might be worth. Thanks

KBB online and any others are kinda screwed. They adjust values by what else is bieng sold in the area. Depending on your zip code the same car could cost more or less. So all the junkers being sold in the area will lower the (not so)Fair Market value for the nicer cars.
Check out autotrader and see what is being sold for how much. Might be hard to find one withthat low a miles. Compare it to what she has and how nice it may be. Or if you want to see vehicles sell for a lot look on ****-E-bay

Just going by what other cars are priced at (at least by me), I would say with such low miles, the value is at least twice as much as your book value. Keep in mind, I live in the rust-belt of the Midwest. And nice condition (non-cancerous), let alone low mileage Camaros like that, are very rare.
Also, if you do buy it on the cheap, you are rightfully bound to split the difference in value with the rest of us who advised you. It's an unwritten CF law!![Big Grin](https://camaroforums.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

So i never heard of that unwritten law haha... I have looked in auto traders and and trust me it is really hard to find a car in almost mint condition and 35,000 miles. My only problem is that i'm 20 and a poor college kid.
more info its red with like black ground effects, 305, t-tops. I drool everytime i see it. and it is stored where ther is heat too. but the biggest fear though that my dad and i have is that is has been sitting around for so long, so who knows if something is wrong internally. the most i would prob be able to pay is 2500 plus my dad wants me to get my schooling in before i think about buying cars.

try offering 2300 and see what happens. if you get it then since its been sitting for so long unless its been setup for long term storage i would suggest towing it home then change all of the fluids and clean the gas tank before you even crank it over. then you should be ok.
