Biggest difference is the RS standard is a V6 or optional 305 TBI. Iroc or Z28 will have a TPI 305 or 350. Plus the Iroc/Z28 has better suspension.

Give this a look- it'll break it down not only into the differences between models, but also year by year.

When they were new the big diffence was cost. The RS was the base model that could be loaded up with extra cost options with those being the non-performace kind. The IROC & Z28 were the top of the line performace cars and were loaded with options & performce items. Also you could upgrade the standard engines and add additional options. So those that are confused over these models, the big difference is in one word "Performace" for the IROC & Z28 and transportion for the RS.
