What Should i do?
Well i have a 1990 convertable Iroc and they are quite rare. I am interested in making it faster but like most camaros in those years it has a 305. What is it i should do? i dont really want to swap i would like to keep it a matching numbers car. What are some things i should start off with other than headers and exhaust?
Are you looking to keep the motor origional ie: heads and block? If not, a good flowing set of heads and matched cam will help abunch, intake, throttle body, and play with engine management.the great thing about small blocks is that any mod for a 350 works on the 305's too. my brother put an Edelbrock performer intake on his 305 TBI 89 RS, that he later sold, and noticed a bump in torque, just in stock trim that car scooted along pretty good.
yea i want to keep the same block and all. i would no mind changing the heads. what head, cam, and intake would you recommend? also what would you do for engine management? Thanks alot for helpin me out
oh and by the way this is a tpi motor so if i do these things what would be the best way to get some more flow out of that tpi setup. i do no think it will be capable of handleing these mods.
I'm glad you said it was a TPI motor that simplifies things alittle. Contact SLP engineering they have alot of expirence with TPI motors they worked a great deal with GM making TPI's screem ie: the Firehawk. I'm not sure about thier product line, but, I know they can make TPI's fast and emissions legal. I hope that helps you out.
