i was looking under the hood and i noticed theres this one thing thati doint know what it is...it looks like a big ball hooked to a wire..its oin the drivers side near the front..if u can tell me what this is id appreciate it..

 

If it is a big ball with a vacumm hose it is a vacuum resiviour. So when your engine vacuum changes it does not affect the vacuum sent to the blend air doors for the heat and a/c.

As your engine is running it produces many forces. One of them is vacuum. This vacuum or suction can be harnessed and connect to open and close the vent doors in your dash. The largest vacuum assisted component is your power brake unit. This suction force is not consistent because of changes as your engine speed and load changes. The big round thing is there to catch and store this vacuum so as the vehicle uses it it delivers a more consistent force.
