Water pump change?

RE: Water pump change?
just an FYI. those fans, as small as they are, do A LOT for the cooling of that motor. mine didnt kick in and 300+ degree temps followed soon after. long story short, my engine is a bare block on a stand right now..
if it still runs, start it up and watch the exhaust and obviously look around the water pump for leaks. grab hold of the upper radiator hose and check it for flow. if you feel nothing, its likely a thermostat. i forget off the top of my head if it would be cool or hot at that point, but none the less there will be flow. also while your under there, might as well check for intake and head gasket leaks. just a visual is all you will notice from there, thats where the exhaust comes into play. white smoke is coolant burning, blueish is oil.
