Ugh still isnt acting right
Then you'll need to determine if it keeps running when the engine is, and if it's putting out sufficient pressure. And check out the carb when it kills as I suggested earlier. Does your pressure regulator have an extra fitting to put one of these gauges? AutoZone sells them too: http://www.summitracing.com/search/?...%20gauge&dds=1

i just checked the carb like you said and yes it is squirting fuel when i move the linkage...
ok so i went ahead and pulled out the mech pump rod and the car runs a little better... actually idles a little bit longer than it was... the fuel pump is working while the car is running--after it dies i hear it run for a sec or 2 longer... at WOT the car chokes completely... actually at about 1/2 way it chokes... possible the electric pump is going out???

Only one more time?
Does your carb have sight plugs on the passenger side bowls? I don't know what model you have, but I thought the cheap "replacement" Holley didn't have them.

mine doesnt have it... its the cheap replacement holley :\ and i did a little tinkering and found out that the problem is with my cheap *** regulator... i took it off and was running just the electric pump and it flooded quick... disconnected the fuel line and started her up to burn off excess gas and it didnt choke out
So I take it the regulator is regulating too much then? What kind is it, an AutoZone special (Spectre)?
You want to get a return style regulator, it's better for the life of the pump. Summit, and other places have them.
