If you can, show a picture or two of the area between the washer reservoir and engine.

Yeah, your transducer is m.i.a., cruise control is basically non-existent. Might as well just cork up that vacuum hose, as there's no reason to hook it up to anything. And if you trace your speedo cable up from the trans, you'll probably find it's now a straight shot to the firewall. Are those a couple more hoses I see laying down in that valley too?

so this is basically what it has been doing... these are cold starts and its kinda cold down here but it does the same thing even when its scolding hot outside... also there has been some white smoke or vapors coming from the carb everyonce in a while when it dies out... let me know what yall think and ill go from there

I'm glad you pointed that out. I was gonna say, there's your problem right there, engines don't run well upside down. lol
Way earlier you had mentioned having both the factory electric fuel pump and a mechanical pump hooked up.
1) Are you sure the electric fuel pump is working?
2) Is the fuel pressure regulator before or after the mechanical pump? If it's after the mechanical pump, the high pressure from the electric pump will be blowing gas right through the mechanical pump.
3) Why in the heck did the guy run the fuel line through a mechanical pump in the first place, if the electric pump is working?
4) If the electric pump is working fine, bypass the mechanical pump totally, it's an obstruction.
5) If the electric pump isn't working, remove that, as it would be an obstruction.
6) When the engine kills, look down the throat of the carb and pump the linkage by hand. Do you see fuel squirting?
To me, it sounds like a fuel supply problem, either starving out or flooding out.

lol thanks i was starting to lean on a fuel problem myself lol... i took off the carb to check the gasket from carb to block and found something strange in my carb--a leaf lmao... i really hope none got into the block tho :\ n if so--any worries? i dont think i have handled this much gas in the open since i was young-er and was huffing it to get a buzz lol... i dont miss those times...

ok so to check to see if the elec pump is working WITHOUT gauges-how do i do this?
i will say this that the filter right before the carb fills up no problem... but i did notice that it didnt SEEM to be moving through--kinda seem like it just took a break... i remember when first changed fuel pumps i remember that the fuel would flow through kinda like a wave i guess would be a good way to explain--but im sure you know what i am talking about lol...

2nd--if the electric pump is good i need to know how to reroute the lines to bypass it... not sure exactly how to do that...

Sucking in a leaf isn't going to hurt the engine, it'll burn it up and spit it out. How did a leaf get in there though? Was the engine sitting open to the weather with no air cleaner on?
Figuring out the electric pump is going to be a little trickier, not knowing what, if any of the original ignition/computer controls are still hooked up. Your car originally had a fuel pump relay that cycled the pump for a couple of seconds when the key is switched to the on position (not run). Then when the engine was running, the ignition signal from the distributor tells the computer to keep the fuel pump relay activated. So if the original distributor and computer aren't hooked up, the pump won't run unless it's been hot-wired (hooked up directly to switched power). Can you hear the pump cycle on and off, or stay on, when turning the key to the on position? You should. If not, you need to go trace the wiring with a test meter.

i hear the pump when the key is turned to on... and it shuts off like most cars do... engine alone is too loud to hear if its still running--not to mention the speaker box sitting right on top of where the tank is lol...
