Hi ,I have an 82 Z28 Camaro at some stage a previous owner had turfed the 305 and powerd up with a 383 engine + 400 turbo trans. The cross member for the turbo 400 is custom made. For warrant of fittness purposes (New Zealand) mechanic inspecting the vehicle said in order to become road legal ,I need to install a factory Camaro 400 turbo cross member for a 1982 Z28. Problem being: I have been told by a Camaro parts stockist ,that there were NO 1982 Camaro's that came with a turbo 400 Trans. So finding a factory turbo 400 cross member for a 1982 Camaro Z28 is impossible.any advice would be greatly appreciated.
