Are you saying when the engine is cold, the rpm's climb a bit but the car hardly moves? And it does the same thing in a turn? Then your transmission is slipping and is on it's way out. If yours is slipping like that, the clutches are badly worn and a rebuild/replacement is in your future. For what it's worth, I have a friend who's trans acts like that, and he puts in an additive made to help prevent slipping. (drain a quart of fluid and put in the additive) It has bought him well over a year of time and still going, but he has to keep adding more like every six months. When the trans starts slipping that badly, it's at the point of "got nothing to lose".

yeah thats pretty much it but when i take a turn it completly lets go and just revs without pulling. but im going to get a rebuild kit its only $30 at autozone and after i rebuild it im going to keep that lucas oil in it for every fluid change. Thanks

Two separate problems....
My ole Trusty Volare did the 'turn' thing to me years ago......I thought my tranny was on the way out and got very upset. She was just low on fluid. One quart later she was running fine. Never had a leak or anything. Tranny monster must have stole it. (tranny monster...huh huhhhh)
The 'not running right when cold' is a choke/carb issue. What kind of fuel system are you using? If its carbed, Ill bet you dollars to donuts your choke is filthy and not workin correctly.

i second the low fluid. the fork lift at work does the same thing, as does the back hoe, both automatics. check the fluid with it hot and RUNNING on a level surface. also take note of the color

No ive never done it before but my neighbor owned a trans shop in Tennessee and he said he would show me how to do it
