obviously quality of parts plays a role in the top RPM's. But still, i wouldnt go just all that high with it.

i might not stroke it either. its all about the amount of cash i get. im deffinitly gonna get aluminum heads and a really radical cam good for up to 6000 rpms. the storker kit is the last thing ill do if i have the money.

my fathers 383 stroker blew up at 6400 rpm. I told him not to wind it up too high because of any strokers weak point..major and minor thrust loads tearing up the cylinder walls. haha we opened it up and thats what happened lol pistons had melted from the friction and locked her up solid...**** strokers and go with a good ol 350 lol

had mine with the 383 tbi motor with bad tranny up 145 in overdrive at 4000 rpm's. my 383 would only turn 5500 rpm's and that's it. now i'm looking for a 400 block and 350 crankto make a destroked motor that turn's higher rpm's
