Would a 1992 305 5-speed Z28 have a speed limiter?

And how fast have you all taken your Camaros?

no only the LO3 cars have em at 115, you can wire in an on/off switch to the VSS on some however to get rid of it, ive had mine up to about 130ish, at 4k but i have 3.73s

I've had my 89 RS 305 up to 115 around 35 rpms. Then again I still have the stock 2.73 [:'(]

The automatics you just drop it into third so the TCC won't affect it and you can go as fast as your engine will allow you to go in that gear. Been there, done that.
there is also a switch that allows you to control the TCC. I read about it years ago and seen it sold on summitracing.com recently.

86 tpi with 2.73's, hit 150 at 4600 rpm with a slight downhill (which got me from 130-145 in about 3 seconds), hit that speed from a 60 mph roll in less than half a mile with a slight incline before the larger decline.

well on my 92, i went to the passnagers side of the dash, took out the ECU, found wire A10 (brown wire) cut it, wire an on/off switch into it, do not permantly cut the wire you will get a SES while it is off

so cut the wire. put a switch on it, mount the switch in a location of your choice, and have fun... simple enough. i may try this one this weekend.
