top end kits
is there such a thing as a top end kit without the intake manifold? i guess i could find a kit i like and get the part numbers that i want to find the heads and cam. but if it already exists that would be nice

RE: top end kits
I don't think so. The intake is part of the "top end" so a kit without it would not be much of a kit. But compare the money savings to a kit and parts individualy. You may be able to sell the intake cheap and maybe even make a buck.

RE: top end kits
well. i found that kit. but i got to thinking. those numbers are with a certain motor blah blah blah. yada yada.. but my thought was would i gain or lose power with using the TPI over the carb setup? i think its an air gap manifold then you choose the carb. im gona guess and say that i will lose some power going TPI over that carb setup, but i could gain it back by getting high flowing runners and port out the manifold and plenum. I found out there is a guy at my new job that does that kinda stuff ( at least he use to) i may give them to him, or ask him to teach me how to do it. I get the basic idea, but theres those tricks that i dont know that he would.
