RE: Third brake light prob?? need help
The way the Genral did these car was kinda wierd, but here goes. This is from a 96 Impala, but it should be close as the General likes to do things the same as much as possible.
The stop/hazard fuse feeds a switch on the brake pedal. When the brake pedal is depressed the switch closes throught to two outputs. One feeds the regular brake lights, the other feeds the high mounted/center lamp, the ABS module, cruise control module, and remote door lock receiver.
This is probably why they interact when one thing goes in trouble.

Well i figured out the problem, the idiots that tinted my windows cut and removed the wire that runs in with the rear defrost witch also powers the 3rd brake light, and didnt even tell me, go figure, so now im gonna have to pull the light off and wire a ground and a power in with my brakes, so this should be fun.
