Anyone had trouble with the third brake light on an 86?

 

theres a few ways of it having trouble. are the bulbs good? is there power at the sockets if they dont light? if there is no power, check the wiring where i goes from the body to the hatch. the constant movement can break the wires inside the insulation

ok. check where the wires flex at. i had the same issue with my 95 blazer. mine was inside the rubber body grommet. cut it out, spliced it back together and it was good. a few other members have had the same issue and found that same problem
