i dont think he meant paint and hiding wires as building it up. slap a cam in it while its out, and do the valve train with it. some 1.6 ratio rockers, etc.

time to resurrect this.Just payed 300 for a 84 transam witha 350 4-bolt/700r4 in it.body is in poor shape and interior looks terrible but motor and trans is sound.gots a torker 2 and holley sitting on it with a set of those cast aluminum holley valve covers.now all i got to do is pull everything out of it and slap it under the hood of mine.also came with a set of 5 spoke star aluminum wheels with tires that only got 1000 miles on them

 

Are you positive it is a 350 4 bolt? Or are you just going off what the guy told you?

 

my friend that found it for me watched them put it in about 6 months ago.

 

but i will be running the numbers when i get it out regardless.2 or 4 still beats a 305.

 

Even then, it still could even be a 305. Look at the harmonic balancer. Balancers on 350's are thinner than the balancers on 305's, it isnt always a sure fire way to tell but usually it is a good way of telling.
