Im rebuilding my 86 and i need ignition help!! what should i buy??? i want to get rid of that computer under the dash .... u know that silver box on the right side!!i want the car to run on the most simple way possible!! what kind of msd system should i go with?? i dont want any extra wires of any sort... just plain and simple!! I know its possible but i need to know if there is a kit for that?? let me know any ideas !!! thanks allot!!!!!

 

i think the easiest way to go would be an HEI distributor.

 

I Would Go With An MSD Pro-Billet Ready To Run Distributor With A Magnetic Pickup. Doesn't Need A Computer Or A Juice Box But, You Can Always Add One If Ya Like. All You Need Is A Coil. I'm Getting Away From The Computer On Mine As Well. I Paid $250.00 For Mine But, For Convienence And Fire Power I Believe It's Well Worth It.

 

i agree with the msd, they are usually all mapped and blueprinted. good solid ignition system.
