Default T5 Tthe ransmission

OK, This may seem like a dumb question but only way you learn is to ask. I have an 83 Z28 Camaro with a V8 and a "T5" 5speed. From what I understand this is a Borg-Warner 5 speed. I have seen mustangs in magazines that are running a "T5". Is this the same tranny as is in the Camaro? Also I have a manual that says the "T5" is to be filled with automatic transmission fluid. Is this a typo or are they serious? I am also curious as to whether or not the T5 from a ChevyS10 pickup will boltup? I am new to the Camaro game. But now I am hooked. Thanks for any info I get!

chevy's are chevy's. 2.8 to 4.3 v-6 chevys transmissions will bolt up. to 350, 305, 400, 283, 327 all small blocks basically. Manual trannys use automatic transmission fluid. The only ones that differ are fords, and imports. They use something different. rule of thumb is to put back in it what came out of it.
