Default superchip question

well the big thing i want to know is are they worth it??

i have a 91 Z28 with the 5.7, has 2000 miles on the rebuilt engine, only thing added is the 3" cat back, and the cats have been emptied, adding new holley flowmaster headers i just got next week.

i would like to know if the superchip or anyother chip would be a good upgrade?
what might i see in HP, 1\4 mile changes if anyone knows,

when i first got the car it had 125,000 miles on it and it would pull 14.00 in the 1\4 mile at 98 - 100 MPH, what would you think it might get in a 1\4 mile with the rebuild, catback, headers and a chip???

thanks in advance
Aaron

I Can Only Speak From My Experience, The Chips Only Seem To Make A Difference If You Have Performance Parts To Go With Them. Such As Cam, HO Pistons And Such. The Truth Is The Only Way To Turn More Horsepower And Torque Is Make A Bigger Bang. The Only Way To Make A Bigger Bang Is More Fuel And Air. You Either Have To Increase Cubic Inches Or Increase The Influx Of Fuel And Air VIA A Cam And Bigger Intake And Injectors Or Carb. I've Seen People Get Just As Much Of An Increase In Power By Putting A Cheap 25 Dollar Mod That Tells The Computer It's Cold Outside As Oppose To A 200 Superchip. If You Want A Reliable Mod That Is Gonna Give You Long Term Satisfaction ... Buy A Cam. Just My Opinion. Sick

most of the time the cars computer will reset itself after some time, and wipe out whatever u had the chip do. it might be better to invest money into having your computer itself tunned. when u have someone tune the computer they can dial it in for what u have done to your car.
