The time has come - I'm finally going to modify my stock 305.
My question is this - has anyone ever heard of a stock 92 Z28 (manual) surviving a supercharger? I'm starting small for now, and I'm wondering what kind of modifications I need to make to keep my car running for more than a couple days. I expect the transmission to eventually fail, but aside from that, is there anything else I need to worry about?

yea, its called the ENTIRE driveline. espically if it has lots of miles. these cars just werent made for a lot of power. even a mild boost WILL tear things apart quickly. unless you never get on it and in fact, drive it slower than you do now. First would either be the rear or the tranny to go. followed QUICKLY by the 305. even a stock 350.. i would be weary of super chargeing ANYTHING that isnt build to handle it. Now if you wanna rebuild the engine with low compression, high quality parts. then you would be ok. Not even necessarily low compression, just keep the boost low. that block would be a worry for me as well. idk... i dont think you should supercharge anything untill your ready to spend big bucks on either repairs or doing it right the first time.

its not ment to be mean at all. just sayin its not wise to super charge a stock engine with a lot of miles on it. If you wanna do it then go ahead by all means. but you asked what you needed to worry about. and the quick answer is everything. Cars this age with 100+k miles on it ( assumption, idk your mileage) just cannot handle the extra power being served to it buy the supercharger.
