Make sure the fuel is as fresh as possible.
I just started an 81 Z28 that was sitting for 20+ years. I did all the things you mentioned, plus fresh fuel. Started w/ no problems.
Good Luck

change the oil too an check your anti freeze,an hoses so on just check everything if you plan on useing that engine again i would not replace compontants till you know how its going to.run ,just change all the fluids including you brake fluid .7 years is along time not to .run an engine ,it would have been better if it was ran a few times a year ,post pictures just dont put a ton of money in it till you know if its going to run right

The big question is how old is the gas? 4 years not running is really not a huge deal depending on the condition it was it 4 years ago.

Water pump is a good idea, if the hoses belts are from 01 I would just do those before I worried about the alternator. Alternator is solid state and less likely to be fail due to time then a hose or belt. Belt tensioner could be froze also.

If you plan on running the car hard then flush the brake fluid. It will be fine as a daily driver. A stomp test is needed. With the car running grab the steering wheel with both hands and push on the brake as hard as you can. Better to have a aged seal blow out in your driveway then on the highway.
