Ok So I bought a 84 Camaro last night for a whoping 650.00. The car needs work as most cheap projects go. But it runs and shifts. But let me tell ya. I am perplexed over this Berlinetta dash. It must be faulty. I have a constant 88 for spedo and the tach does not work. Either that or my engine runs at 3500 all the time. NOT. Ok and the A/C controls, Turn signal, wipers do not work. The headlights are on a toggle switch. So my question is this. Does anybody have a idea before I call Painless and buy a universal harness, Add autometers and a Ididit column? Can I adapt a standard dash without a engenering degree in electrical? Anybody have a idea out there???? Thanks for the help.......

shouldve got the digi dash for the s10

if you can get the harness
actually all the wires were the same color

 

Will the s-10 dash fit in place? I have a sweet '86 Berlinetta that has sat for two years 'cause of dash control problems!

 

man, that thing is UGLY

 

change the whole dash out with a 4th gen dash.
i think someone has done it before but it seems very hard and time consuming

its really not toooooo bad. i have a friend of mine that took one out of a 97 i think. he upgraded to an OBD 2 system too. But when you do that your stuck with it because you have to cut off two of the major bolts. ill see if i can get some pics of it for ya. looks really nice. he did the dash and center console.

 

There is a third gen with a forth dash, LS1 and whole front clip I seen in a magazine.
And yes that S10 dash is Butt Fugly!
