Speedo/tach not working

When I sold my 91, the funky tach didn't affect the price at all. This one is where you can honestly say "they all do that".

just entered some info on the 93 vss, i would think some of it is the same. obd1 with 700r4

Found a fix for the speedo too! Apparently it's often the same problem... a bad resistor.

I've had the same problem with my '90..except my gauges all bounce around like crazy. Except the fuel gauge and engine temp- neither of those work at all. I'm leaning towards my entire cluster being junk. Found a used one that has been tested to work on eBay for 50 bucks, so I figure i'll give that a shot.

Does anyone know which resistor on the speedo you need to replace to get it to work again and know what resistor you need to buy to replace it with.
