Default some questions on my "new 91 RS"

no owners manual, so I can't read the directions...

1. where is the spare tire located?? I call myself looking for it, but have no clue.

2. what is the most common cause of a service engine light soon?

off when you start it,drive it 10 miles or so then it pops on, and stays on.

doesn't seem to affect driveability.

I know.. get the codes read somewhere, but the car isn't moving till I get my insurance cards and tag transferred tomorrow.

thanks

the spare tire is in the trunk behind a panel on the passenger side, and the service light could be a bad o2 senser but i'm not sure what else would make it come on. there's a lot of other people on here that know much more than me.

^^^What they said about the spare^^^...
As far as the check engine light is concerned... I wouldn't just start replacing parts, that will get expensive.

Default thanks

will get my insurance cards tomorrow, get tag transferred, and take it up to "Irish auto parts".. they check codes for free.

thats where I thought the spare might be, but since I didn't own the car when I was looking, I wasn't gonna start ripping stuff up looking.

one set of keys.. get extra set made, trip to locksmith

run codes, and get whats needed, and see if we can get that little problem fixed.

thanks again.

The parts store might not be able to read your codes, you have an OBD1 system. All you need to read your codes is a paper clip, then read this: https://camaroforums.com/forum/82-92-general-10/faq-how-read-codes-20385/
And here's what the error code flashes mean: http://www.thirdgen.org/service-engi...ht-error-codes
