I have a 1990 v6 camaro rs, and it idles good for about 10-15 seconds but shuts off, then when i start and give it gas, it shuts down even quicker.

 

Sounds like a fuel problem,plugged filters,bad fuel pump?

 

Could be a bad TPS sensor. You might short Pins A & B together in ALDL connector (OBD !) and just turn on IGN and count pulses of CE light for getting trouble codes.
I'm sure OBD ! instructions are around somewhere. You can use a tire pressure gauge and check fuel pressure, since OBD 1, about 13 PSIG.
