Default Should i buy this Camaro

hey guys right now i got a v6 04 mustang. Its a great car and it will get me from point a to b with no problem for along time. Now i have a friend who is selling is camaro. Its a 1985 v6 with a 350 bored out to a 355 in it. This camaro is not in the best condition though. Its back brakes are out of fluid so they dont work. It needs a new radiator. No power steering. Theres nothing else major though thats wrong besides interior/Exterior. That will just be a working progress. Ill post some pics too. Its also got a cam and a 350 turbo trans and a 600 dollars shift kit. He is asking 1500 dollars for this car. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Too much with what's wrong with it in my opinion. Especially since it was a 6 to begin with and it's not a z28 or an iroc.

Not sure about your area but in my area I can find stock 8's in better shape for the same price.

i would buy it. he already took the time to do the hard part of a v6 to v8 swap, although the turbo 350 trans is going to suck if you want/need to do a lot of highway driving. if the car is structurally sound and only needs what he said it needs, offer him $1200. the brakes are probably going to need new lines and wheel cylinders, shouldnt be more than $100. quality aftermarket radiator will be around $200, just be careful and get one that is name brand. power steering repair could be anywhere from $15-$300 depending on what is wrong.

Sounds like a decent project car as long as you can keep the '04 stang for reliable transportation.

Ok so to say i where to buy the car. What is the first things you guys would do. The apearance or the motor. The motor is good and it does run and omg it will rattle windows but what do you guys think. The whole inside of the car really needs to be replaced. The outside just needs to be touched up in places. To dents that can be poped and some good clear coat. Thats it

first fix the brakes and radiator. Than just get a macco paint job for 400-500.

although we cannot tell you what you want to do with the car first, this is usually what i do: required repairs, performance upgrades, then appearence. something is always going to get scratched, dinged, or scuffed while wrenching on a car. however the car youre looking at already has the performance aspect taken care of, so i would do the needed repairs first, then outside visual, followed by interior.
